Psychological Consequences Of Athletic Injury Most Prevalent Among Male Intercollegiate Athletes
[ send me this report ]
14 pages in length. Forced withdrawal from a given sport due to injury represents one of the most important elements of the anger, depression and anxiety male intercollegiate athletes experience. The addiction of sports places a considerable amount of pressure for athletes who are injured, inasmuch as they are unable to partake in the sport they love or compete with others who are just as obsessed with it as they are. This myopic vision is impacted even more when an individual is forced to endure weeks or even months off the field for an injury that is looked upon as both nuisance and unfair. The writer discusses the psychological consequences of athletic injury most prevalent among male intercollegiate athletes. Bibliography lists 17 sources.

That Americans are some of the heaviest people in the world speaks to this intense response toward weight loss, a quest for many that has found its mainstay in the ever-popular Atkins program. The success of this high protein, low carbohydrate diet is, indeed, founded in the validity of scientific research, however, it is also based in great part upon the tremendous word-of-mouth influence passed on by those who have realized tremendous personal success on the program. From celebrity endorsements to common man testimonials, eating the low-carb way has truly become one of the most powerful phenomenons of the twenty-first century and is anticipated to generate a total of thirty billion dollars in 2004 alone.
